Clarity Counseling is located in Vancouver, Washington in the heart of the Fisher’s Landing area. As a small private practice office, we strive to provide personalized care to each and every client. Meet Jamee.
Jamee Homuth, LMHC, LICSW
Jamee is a warm and friendly presence in the therapy room. She takes a person-centered approach, tailoring her sessions to each client’s unique needs. She is skilled at meeting her clients wherever they are at in their mental health journey. Whether they are uncertain about trying therapy for the first time or are therapy veterans, she is ready to help with whatever challenges they are facing. Jamee focuses on developing strong therapeutic relationships with her clients, empowering them with the tools they need to grow, heal, and thrive in their daily lives.
Jamee is passionate about normalizing mental health care and making it accessible to all individuals. She has a special interest in the area of neurodiversity and desires to support families in their journey to better understand and integrate the nuances of Autism and ADD/ADHD into daily living.
Jamee is also passionate about supporting teen mental health, and loves assisting young people with learning the skills that will empower them to live mentally healthy lives. Jamee recently launched Walk and Talk therapy, a unique therapy format that takes place outside while going for a walk. Walk and Talk therapy may be a good fit for anyone who would like to incorporate healthy movement into their mental health journey. Individuals who struggle with prolonged sitting and direct eye contact may also benefit from a walking session.
Training and Background
Jamee received a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Boise State University in Boise, ID. She holds credentialing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington State. Jamee enjoys using CBT and DBT treatment modalities in her work with clients. She is also well versed in attachment dynamics and believes that healthy relationships are essential to living a happy, balanced life.
Jamee has been an advocate for the autistic community and worked as part of a parent advisory committee for the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center at OHSU in an effort to make the autism diagnosis process more comfortable and effective for families. She has lectured on the importance of accommodations for individuals with disabilities and neurodivergencies. She recognizes that the therapeutic space may present unique sensory challenges for clients, and values fostering an inclusive, comfortable, and accessible space. She is happy to provide accommodations for individuals who may have barriers to traditional therapy.
When she’s not in the office, Jamee can be found spending time with her husband and four children. She enjoys trips to the river, escape rooms, documentaries, mystery novels, and curling up with her cat, Tulip.
